Wilmington Grade Separation with a budget of 50.6 million. The project
consist of constructing an approximately 4,100 foot long grade separation
South Wilmington extending from the Trapac Terminal South of Harbor Bridges
Boulevard near the intersection of Lagoon Avenue to Pier A Street West of the
intersection with Fries Avenue. The project will include demolition and
removals; asbestos abatement; constructing approaches, abutments, slopes,
retaining walls and mechanically stabilized embankment (MSE) walls; driving
precast/pre-stressed concrete piles, placing footings on top of piles,
add 7 foot diameter column piles on top of footings; constructing viaduct; constructing

boring and jacking under railroad tracks and dewatering; gas distribution system

SCHEDULER CONSULTANT Date: July 2012-August 2013 Kim Romero provided scheduling services for the design and
construction of a new Ultraviolet (UV) Filtration Facility with a budget of $
66 million, which is the biggest filtration facility West of the Mississippi.
This project is being constructed with the DWP construction workforce. Mr.
Romero’s responsibilities include developing and updating detailed
resource-loaded project schedule, working with DWP Construction team to
optimize schedule and sequencing of activities, equipment staging, resource
planning, procurement activities, and working with Consultant design team to
develop 4-D (NavisWorks) model. Kim provides recommendations for schedule
optimization, which is required due to critical project completion
date.
Los Angeles Unified School District, Porter
Ranch, CA SENIOR SCHEDULER CONSULTANT Date: October 15, 2010 – July, 2012 Mr. Romero
provided scheduling services to the Los Angeles Unified School District
Valley Region Span K8 #2 Porter for construction of seven different buildings
totaling 55,000 square feet with a value of $33 million. He was responsible
for reviewing the contractor’s baseline and monthly schedule updates,
preparing owner’s parallel schedule, monitoring the contractor’s progress and
comparing it to the latest approved schedule, reviewing and reporting on the
contractors Time Impact Analysis fragnet schedules, and preparing written
reports. He conducted daily job walks to monitor the contractor’s progress of
work and updated the Owner’s parallel schedule based on the weekly job walks.
Kim also attended weekly progress meetings, verified the three-week

Consumer Studies Building, a 38,000 SF and $77 million East Campus Science
Building, a 22,000 SF and $18 million Media Arts Building, and campus wide
modernization and renovation projects totaling $15 million for Los Angeles
Mission College. The projects include design-bid-build and design-build

of bulk cleaning, pressure washing, excavation of shafts, cast-in-place
concrete, and soil injection grouting. Responsibilities included reviewing
baseline schedule and monthly schedule updates for conformance to the
scheduling specifications; evaluating progress of construction; verifying
actual start and finish dates; verifying individual activity durations and
sequencing through reconciliation with the inspector’s daily logs; and
preparing written schedule analysis reports. He monitored activities that
might have interfered with third parties and provided schedule update
information at the weekly jobsite meeting, and also prepared owners Time

Disney Project Management, Anaheim, CA
SCHEDULER CONSULTANT Date: November 2004 - May 2005 In this role,
Mr. Romero was reviewing monthly schedules for Steam Train Ride upgrades,
Storefront upgrades, Tiki Room Renovation, Jungle Cruise upgrades and Splash
Mountain rail upgrades at Disneyland Resort for the 50th Anniversary
milestone. This effort included preparing written comments and
recommendations; reviewing contractor construction schedules for conformity
to the specifications, durations, activity logics, and critical activities;
reviewing actual construction progress; attend weekly progress meetings to
provide information to the project managers and the construction manager
regarding progress and schedule issues. He also created what if schedule
analysis due to delays to late submittals, RFI’s and long lead procurement
for this project. U.S. Army Corp
of Engineers Los Angeles District, Los Angeles, CA SCHEDULER Date: April 2004 - November 2004 Mr. Romero was
assigned to multiple civil and military facility projects, including
waterways, dams, streams, channels, barracks, mess halls, and military
housing valued at over $200 million. In providing scheduling support through
all project development phases, he developed the project cost and schedule
baselines, established resource loading based on detailed work scope,
identified variances, monitored and updated the cost and schedule status, and
provided monthly reporting. He oversaw a staff of four project control
specialists and provided Primavera schedule training to USACE staff. Los Angeles
Unified School District – District A, Los Angeles, CA OWNER
AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE Date: August 2004 - October 2004 Kim was Owner
Authorized Representative for the renovation and modernization of 4
elementary schools. For this over $200 million project, Kim managed the
preparation of bid documents, conducting Job-Start meetings, monitoring
contractor’s schedule of values, and developing summary construction
schedules and cash flow diagrams. He also maintained information in
Expedition, including RFI’s, RFP’s, Submittals and Change Orders; processed
contractor payment applications; monitored cost and schedule status; and
conducted weekly progress meetings and job site visits. He was certified as
an OAR through the LAUSD training program. Chevron Commercial Projects, Los Angeles, CA Contract
SCHEDULER Date: May 2004 - October 2004 Mr. Romero
responsibilities included the EPC baseline planning, scheduling updates,
monthly forecasting, cost performance reporting, forecasting project
cost-at-completion, attending weekly project meetings, and providing progress
reporting information to Chevron on this project that valued at $50
million. Hacienda La Puente Unified School District, City of Industry, CA SCHEDULER/DOCUMENT
CONTROLS MANAGER Date: November 2003- June 2004 Mr. Kim Romero
was Document Controls Manager/Scheduler for the renovation and modernization
of four elementary schools at Hacienda La Puente Unified School District
totaling $125 million. He processed and logged RFI’s, RFP’s, Submittals and
Change Orders into Prolog. He provided cost and schedule analysis to Project
Managers, and reviewed cost and schedule performance baselines against
schedule updates. Kim also provided cost and schedule reporting to the
construction managers, and oversaw a staff of 4 document controls engineers. City of Los
Angeles Department of Public Works, Los Angeles, CA SCHEDULER February 2001- November 2003 Mr. Romero was
assigned to the construction of East Central Interceptor Sewer Tunnel Project
which was 10 miles long, which consisted using 4 TBM tunneling equipment and
with valued at $265 million. His services included reviewing baseline
schedules and monthly schedule updates for conformance to the contract requirements;
evaluating progress; verifying actual start and finish dates;
verifying individual activity durations and sequencing through reconciliation
with the inspector’s daily log; identifying critical and sub-critical
activities; and reviewing the contractor’s plan to mitigate delays. He also
reviewed activities that might have interfaced with third parties and
provided schedule update information at the weekly jobsite meeting. Kim also
prepared Time Impact Analysis and reviewed contractors’ requests for time
extensions. Los Angeles
Unified School District SCHEDULER As a
Scheduler, Kim was responsible for consulting with the LAUSD consultant 3DI
on cost control and scheduling issues. He provided review and analysis for
performance against established baselines vs. the schedule update and
prepared monthly progress updates to LAUSD under BB Bond Program. Los Angeles
Police Department, Los Angeles and Valley 911 Center SCHEDULER Kim provided cost
control and scheduling services for the construction of 911 facilities valued
at $22 million. Responsibilities included review and analysis of baseline
cost and schedule in comparison to the forecasts, prepare monthly progress
reports to LAPD, and review monthly invoices. He attended the City of
Los Angeles’ monthly technical steering committee meetings to report on
project schedule and cost status. Metropolitan
Water District SCHEDULER Mr. Romero
served as scheduler for over $100 million Metropolitan Water District’s dam
renovations at Inland Feeder and San Diego 6. He developed and maintained
construction cost and schedule information at all project phases. Kim was
responsible for cost loading the schedules, monitoring costs, manpower
analysis, performance measurement analysis, resource analysis, overhead and
escalation rates, and implementing requirements to establish performance
against baselines. He also prepared weekly and monthly schedules, performed
cost analysis, and prepared reports. North Island
Naval Station Coronado, Long Beach Naval Station, 32nd Street Naval Station
and Camp Pendleton COST ENGINEER/SCHEDULER Kim Romero
served as a Cost Engineer and Scheduler for construction projects at the
Naval Marine facilities. Kim tracked cost and updated the schedule on a
weekly basis for environmental projects related to soil contamination
removal, construction of Vapor Extraction units, demolition of existing
buildings and removal of
